There should always be a point in a year where you can start all over again--feel fresh and anew. Or just a point sometime after the first point if you've totally botched the first attempt at resolution, to start again. January isn't the only time to do that! Which is why I'm glad the good people out East invented the lunar calendar. Now, I can celebrate the new year, twice. Okay, okay, I know it's not the same thing... but still, a nice thought.
one month progress
1 month progress report lol
it's been about 1 month since the start of this new year, i think it's a good time to evaluate myself hahah :P
ok informally, i feel that i'm still the eagle picking off its old heavy feathers... still working on my goals.
However, i do feel lighter and more free in worship, so it's an improvement :)
I find that you are only as free as you allow yourself and desire yourself to be.
One thing i've been reminded and learnt during this year is that personally time before God is so important, meaning pursuing and seeking the Lord whether through reading spiritual books, listenning to messages, singing hymns, etc

Taking that First Step (and Wizard of Oz?)
Walk on Water by Britt Nicole is a Christian song that definitely highlights the theme of change and/or improvement that has encouraged me and inspired me with my New Year goals/resolutions (by the way, this song was featured on The Biggest Loser last season, you know, one of those emotional closure songs).
Re: New Year Goal
After reading Jennt's New Year goals, I had to wonder why I never made any yet. I figured it was because there really isn't much I need to accomplish in my simple life: no struggle (or the desire to) with my health, no financial needs, my school goal is a basic "do well, don't get kicked out" one (something that speaks for itself), and my spiritual life has been kicked to the curb. I'm not a very ambitious person, so for me to make a resolution seems like just a big joke. So why start now? I guess if I don't have anything to work towards in my year, 2011 won't be a start to anything new or different. It'd just be the same as last year and the year before that making it completely a waste of time. Meaningless. Empty.
